Streptavidin (SA) is a homotetrameric protein secreted by Streptomyces avidinii during growth. Like avidin, one mole of streptavidin can bind four moles of biotin and has a high affinity for biotin. Because SA does not contain sugar groups, SA has a lower non-specific binding level than avidin in detection applications. It has been widely used in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, immunohistochemistry, time-resolved immunofluorescence (TRFIA), Quantitative PCR, single-stranded DNA preparation, biomolecule purification, monoclonal antibody preparation and other biotechnological fields.
Compared with natural streptavidin, recombinant core streptavidin removes sequences that are not related to activity, and only retains core sequences related to activity, and is superior to natural SA in terms of stability and solubility. Compared with r-cSA (NRPA09), r-cSA2 does not contain cysteine in its amino acid sequence and does not require reduction treatment when used.

Precautions:
